Hawaiian watercolor artist Garry Palm

About the Artist

Garry Palm

Honeymooning in Hawaii in 1985, Garry and his wife Cynthia fell in love with the vibrant colors of the islands. Upon returning back to their Minnesota home they began dreaming of moving to Hawaii, so in 1987 they made that dream a reality. As Garry was already accomplished in oils and acrylics, he expanded his artistic expertise to watercolors. He began to record Hawaii’s history and flowers in glowing watercolors; fast becoming one of Hawaii’s most sought after artists. Garry continues to create glowing, translucent watercolors of the island’s most loved blossoms; plumeria, bougainvillea, hibiscus bird of paradise and more. The beautiful watercolors, painted in a variety of different sizes, have been reproduced in editions of prints, greeting cards and giclee prints. Prints and originals are available in galleries throughout the islands and across the country.

Beginnings

Palm's Custom Cards

Palm’s Custom Cards was inspired by Garry’s mother Charlotte while visiting him on the Big Island of Hawaii in 2019. Garry had been selling hundreds of his custom cards every month at many locations around Hawaii. Charlotte got the idea that people in Garry’s home state of Minnesota would also love his beautiful and colorful greeting cards. With Garry’s blessing and help, Palm’s Custom Cards was created to produce and distribute his unique and vibrant custom greeting cards to the mainland with its home office in Minnesota.
